“ After seeing a friend's post on FB and pics of his birthday meal here I knew we would stop one day. We had decided to make a trip from Liverpool to Watkins Glen for a hike down the Gorge trail on a beautiful sunny fall day with leaves about 60% fall colors. Smokin Pete's is on Route 14 which happens to be on that route so we stopped about 1:30 for lunch. I chose brisket dinner which comes with a slab of brisket and burnt ends corn bread pickles candied jalepenos pickled onions and two sides. Everything is homemade. The Parmesan salt potatoes were butte try and tender and cheesy oh my! The brisket was perfect smoke juicy and tender and the burnt ends were so juicy inside crispy outside flavor burst in your mouth good. We love brisket and things the best in CNY. The ribs were also tender moist flavorful and pulled easily off the bone. Seating inside and out but it does get busy. By the time we left we understood why there is a sign out front says the line forms here. I'll make that drive just for the brisket!! You order to the right just inside the door at the closest end of the bar and then wait for your tracker to beep. It is loud you won't miss it. Pick up across from middle of bar at the kitchen window. Doesn't take long very friendly staff condiments etc all next to the window and plenty of indoor seating as well as outside. Was a beautiful fall day so we went out. ”

“ According to my foreigner friend, "This place has completed my authentic American experience." This was the best BBQ ever. We ordered the 3 meats combo: brisket, spare ribs, and pulled pork. We were extremely impressed with how juicy, flavorful, and tender the meats were. We loooved the cornbread and kale coleslaw. Again, both were the best we've ever had!! We were blown away. We were bummed that the dessert pies were sold out, even before 7pm! The staff is super friendly, recommended us different beers, and the atmosphere is spacious with both indoor and outdoor seating. It's a good place for small or big groups of people. Though it's far from where we live, we would definitely come back again. ”

First come first serve indoor and outdoor seating Just chose this place on a whim and it ended up being a delicious bbq experience. The fact that the place was full of locals made us know we chose well. A large bar with lots of beer, whiskey, and bourbon selections!! We ordered ribs (by the bone), chicken wings, corn bread, and loaded tots with brisket!! Our food was flavorful and cooked perfectly. Their signature sauces were on point. Loved the cornbread and sweet butter. ”
